Paul Day BSc (Hons) I.Eng MICE
Paul is a Civil Engineer with 12 years’ experience gained both in the UK and Internationally, including: marine and civil engineering and infrastructure, rail infrastructure and water treatment. Now as a Director of Marine and Civil Services Ltd, Paul is providing professional services in both a consultant role as well as on site delivery in Project Management roles.
Paul is a Temporary Works Coordinator specialising in marine temporary works, responsibilities include barge stability and deck loading, Jack Up Barge preloading, operational and towing conditions, pile gate set ups, crane loads and associated mats, pile rig mats, access walkways and all other temporary works on the site.
Paul is also the Appointed Person for Lifting Operations (Blue Card), experienced in marine lifting operations from barges, platforms, nearshore and onshore lifts.
Sam has worked in the marine industry for 28 years and a qualified diver for the last 20 years. Experience includes diving, offshore & inshore, salvage, harbour service and heavy lift operations both topside and subsea.
The last 12 years have mainly been spent in the north sea working for most of the main diving companies, including heavy construction work for Clients such as BP, Shell, Centric, Marathon and Apache, all in saturation. Sam has covered all aspects of Diving work both inshore and offshore incorporating searches, inspections of locks and gates, jetty maintenance and removal of debris from propellers of various ships. All inshore work has been carried out in zero visibility.
Sam is an MCA Boat master with extensive experience in command of various jet and propeller driven boats, as well as FRCs and larger multi-purpose vessels and diving craft.
